As you fly into Indonesia’s Soekarno Hatta International Airport, you can see many islands dotting the sea in the Bay of Jakarta.; these are Pulau Seribu, well-known as “Thousand Islands”. Through Sultan Peduli program and as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta organized a fund raising activity by donating Rp 2.000,- from every guest purchased throughout August and September 2015. The money raised was donated to the hotel’s CSR beneficiary ‘Wahana Visi Indonesia’ which will be used to help children in Halmahera and West Borneo.

The way they cook and processing the food is vary in each region, based on the tradition and influence from other cultures which come and stay on that region in particular era. In general, most of the dishes in Java Island are similar to one another, the difference is usually lays on taste. For example, Central Java has the more sweet taste on their cuisine, meanwhile on West and East Java the cuisine are usually hot and savory.
